The virus that is believed to be originated from Wuhan, China had claimed nearly 1 million death around the world. In Malaysia, Movement Control Order (MCO) was implemented in response to the pandemic from 18 March 2020 in several phases. This webinar will discuss on COVID-19, the preventive measures, guidelines, and its’ effects on health and life.

Dr. Dzulkhairi is an alumnus of MRSM Taiping Batch PKP 93/94. He graduated with a medical degree from IIUM in 2004 and subsequently received his postgraduate qualification from USM in Community Medicine in 2010. He frequently travels around Malaysia in his role as a public health physician to raise awareness on many public health issues. His spare time is filled with outdoor pursuits such as hiking & scuba diving.

Growing up in a home with a large farm in Kedah, Idris has always had a keen interest in food, culture and science since a young age. Driven by his passion to put creative works onto a clean white plate that will later be enjoyed by another person, Idris decided on dedicating to the kitchen life.
Upon graduating from cooking school, he was called by Dandy restaurant to lead a team of cooks at the new outlet the restaurant is branching out. He took up the challenge to lead a team, which also requires him to manage food and operational cost, and handling R&D activities for a new menu.
Currently with Table & Apron Restaurant in TTDI Kuala Lumpur serving as a Chef De Partie, he also oversees the R&D portion apart from leading daily restaurant services. His drive is to enhance the reputation for quality food, local ingredients and putting the focus on quality produces. He believes that cooking is not just about great flavors on a plate, but an eccentric experience to the guests.

Lenny is an alumnus of MRSM Taiping Batch PKP 91/92. Lenny attained full scholarship from PETRONAS where she reads Chemical Engineering at University College London (UCL). Lenny has spent over 20 years with PETRONAS where she started her career as a Mergers & Acquisition analyst. She was then appointed as Head of Upstream and Gas research – a role that required her to advise PETRONAS management on long term gas and LNG strategy. While in the position, she spoke at various local and international conferences on global gas and LNG matters. Lenny currently heads the Gas Pricing team where she ensures affordable gas supplies for the nation whilst ensuring business sustainability. Since 2016, she has been an interviewer for the PETRONAS Education Sponsorship Program. She is keen to share her experiences with MRSM Taiping students.

Have you gone for an interview? What are the things that you’ve been focusing on? Know the tips and tricks of being a STAR in your interview: be it for a scholarship, or job interview. Mr. Shahrul Nizam from Group Human Resource of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) will share his expert view on this topic. Later, Dr. Iryani who is also from TNB will share her very own experience attending and acing the Yayasan Khazanah scholarship for her PhD studies back in 2013.

Mr. Shahrul Nizam joined Tenaga Nasional in 1998 as an electrical engineer in the Transmission Division (now GRID). His vast experience includes engineering and design of high voltage equipment ranging from 66kV up to 500kV within the electrical power system and maintenance of the HV equipment. He is currently leading the Reimagining Culture team as a catalyst to enable the organization-wide transformation of TNB.
Meanwhile, Dr. Iryani who is also passionate about engineering started her career as an electrical engineer in the same department in 2002, which involved overhead transmission lines and underground cables. In 2017, she was appointed Head of Product Certification in TNB Labs, a subsidiary of TNB where her role includes certification of products for electrical and non-electrical in TNB. She is also involved in Quality audits and MV/LV equipment testing.
